EMDR Therapy

I have advanced training in EMDR Therapy and specialize in trauma, PTSD, Complex trauma (i.e. C-PTSD), and attachment disorders. EMDR has also been proven to alleviate depression and anxiety symptoms. I am seeing clients in-person for those who seek EMDR treatment.

EMDR is an 8-phase protocol, and a complete treatment with an EMDR Therapist includes history-taking, psychoeducation, preparation and resourcing, and then the actual bi-lateral situmation and reprocessing (which is typically what a person thinks of when they hear about EMDR).

EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR therapy, rather than focusing on changing the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors resulting from the distressing issue, allows the brain to resume its natural healing process. EMDR is designed to resolve unresolved traumatic memories in the brain.

From Sandy Sample, LMFT:

I have helped many, many clients (well over 100 so far!) with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other significant problems with EMDR. This powerful therapy can alleviate symptoms associated with distressful memories and experiences, attachment wounds, accidents and natural disasters, chronic pain, and more. I have see most of my EMDR clients become unstuck and move forward after using this therapy. It is my "go to" for results!
